Liquid Vitamin Industry Secret #4

Q: Are thousands of pounds of vitamin and mineral tablets being mined from the municipal sewer systems across America?

A: Dozens of vendors of liquid vitamins are claiming that, literally, hundreds of pounds of undigested vitamin tables are being strained out of municipal sewer systems, but is it true? ...

Our Liquid Vitamins are the helpful, healthy, and great-tasting (well... fairly great-tasting) alternative to traditional vitamin tablets.

Liquid Vitamins Secrets: The Stinky Sewer Story

Are undigested vitamin tablets really being collected by the bucket-fulls in municipal sewer districts across the country? If you read the material being published to the web by most of the marketers of liquid vitamins, you will be surprised to "learn" that they are repeating a false story that doesn't even sound plausible to begin with.

For instance, here is an example from one such site:

"Undigested vitamin/mineral pills don't help us to receive the intended benefit-to fuel the body toward health, and may create other snags. Each month in Tacoma, Washington, 165,000 pounds of undigested vitamin and mineral pills are pulled out of the sewers. "

Can you imagine the mountain of undigested tablets that would be created by such a recovery effort? That would amount to 82.5 tons of tablets per month, and 990 tons of tablets per year.

Not being satisfied with our own common-sense verdict, we decided to write to the Wastewater Department of the City of Tacoma, Washington, and find out for sure. Here is the letter that we sent:

Hello:

I am researching an issue that I have encountered many times while searching the internet...

A Google search of the following words:

"150 gallons of undigested vitamin and mineral pills"

... returns literally dozens of web pages CLAIMING that your public works department removes hundreds of thousands of pounds of undigested vitamin and mineral pills several times each year from filters in your sewer system.

While I can find dozens of occurences of this story on the web, I cannot locate a single reliable news source from which to verify this story.

Can you please tell me whether or not this is true or false... and if it is not true, what the "real truth" is regarding this issue?

Thank you, in advance, for your assistance!

Best regards,

Mike Callen

Just a day or two later, I received the following response from Mr. Kirk Zempel, the Assitant Division Manager of the Environmental Services division of the Tacoma Wastewater Management Operations.

Mr. Callen,

Your email inquiry was forwarded to me for a response.

The claim of vitamin tablets being mined from the Tacoma sewer system is FALSE.

My understanding is that a liquid vitamin manufacturer or sales group fabricated this erroneous claim many years ago in order to convince potential customers that vitamins in tablet form do not digest and merely pass through the digestive tract.

Well, many thanks to Mr. Zempel for clearing up the story!

We know that vitamins and minerals are good for you, and we know that if they are convenient and taste good, people will take them. Is it really necessary to fabricate ridiculous stories in order to sell a product that makes such good sense to begin with?

Could it be that other vendors are trying to divert attention away from their ingredients and prices?

Liquid Vitality liquid vitamins don't need to play games like this. They taste great and work well.

Liquid Vitality tastes great. Liquid Vitality is convenient and a good value.

Try Liquid Vitality liquid vitamins!
