Liquid Vitamins from Liquid Vitality
Ingredients: Vitamin B2 Riboflavin
Riboflavin, also called vitamin B2, is a water-soluble member of the B-complex family of vitamins. Riboflavin is critical in the conversion of protein, fats, and carbohydrates into the energy to fuel and develop the body.
Riboflavin also bolsters the immune system by reinforcing antibody reserves, the body's primary line of defense against infection. Riboflavin and iron are essential for producing the red blood cells, which are responsible for transporting oxygen throughout the body. Any remaining riboflavin is used to for the healing of tissue and healing of wounds, burns and other injuries.
Riboflavin is also responsible (along with other B vitamins) to protect the nervous system. Researchers are experimenting with riboflavin therapies for nervous system conditions such as numbness and tingling, Alzheimer's disease, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, anxiety, stress, and fatigue.
Riboflavin has been observed in the prevention or slowing of the development of cataracts, enhancing antioxidant activity, which limits the damage that oxygen free radicals can cause to cells. Ophthalmologists recommend riboflavin for people of all ages, but most particularly for people with a family history of cataracts, and for older people, who are particularly prone to this condition.
