Liquid Vitamins from Liquid Vitality
Ingredients: Vitamin B12 Methylcobalamin

Methylcobalamin, or vitamin B12, is a water-soluble B vitamin known to metabolize carbohydrate and to facilitate energy production and neurological activity including the replication of DNA.

Methylcobalamin assists in the production of S-adenosyl-L-methionine (SAMe), shown to benefit joints and an overall sense of wellbeing. Methylcobalamin is suspected to support normal homocysteine levels and cardiovascular health, although more research is being done.

Methylcobalamin is necessary for the creation of red blood cells, the dearth of which cause fatigue. Methylcobalamin has been shown to support normal nerve cell activity and tissue formation. The supplemented form, methylcobalamin, can be utilized by the central nervous system, and supports a healthy brain and spinal cord.

The liver is unable to use the natural form (cobalamin), so it is necessary to supplement with methylcobalamin. Methylcobalamin has been shown to support a healthy cardiovascular system.

Together with vitamin B6 and folic acid, methylcobalamin controls the maintenance of normal levels of homocysteine, elevated levels of which have been associated with increased risks of heart disease and stroke, and possibly Alzheimer’s disease and osteoporosis.

Research also suggests that elevated homocysteine levels may lead to arterial damage and excessive clotting.
