What Number Is The Right Number?
How many ingredients does it take to make a good liquid vitamin? How many ingredients does it take to make the best liquid vitamin?
These are all very fair questions, and ones we asked ourselves when we formulated our own liquid vitamin, which we call Liquid Vitality. When considering this issue, one needs to look at the price at which the resulting product is to be sold.
Consumers may not like to think about it, but products need to be sold at a profit. Our entire free-market economy is based upon it, and, frankly, we'd like to think that you would want the company who supplies you with health-related products to make a fair profit.
Profit allows companies to provide a safe, clean product that contains exactly what it claims, and it allows for further research and development to be done so that newer and even better versions can be created.
Quality of Ingredients
If a product sells for $30, it's not likely to contain $40 worth of ingredients. Like anything else you purchase, the better quality ingredients are going to cost more money. This is true with every industry in our economy.
If the same $30 product has 30 servings, then each serving (or dose) retails for $1. If a liquid vitamin offers 250 ingredients, then each ingredient retails for 4/10ths of one cent for each day's dose.

Quantity of Ingredients
Some liquid vitamin vendors play the "name game" when it comes to ingredients. For instance, many brands include trace minerals, which are typically included as "trace colloidal minerals" or some other similar description. Because these colloidal minerals are mined from ancient claybeds, they contain many different minerals, but the minerals are not "assembled" as such.. they are "found" as such.
We could list each mineral as a separate ingredient, but we prefer to list "colloidal minerals" as an ingredient, and then describe exactly what that means. Similarly, we include citrus bioflavinoids in our mixture. These include 50% rutin, and other ingredients as well. You can make something sound "bigger" than it is by subdividing categories of ingredients, but this is playing the "name game" and we don't want to insult your intelligence by doing so.
