Liquid Vitamins from Liquid Vitality
Ingredients: Boron

Boron: Boron is a trace element that has shown to be important in human metabolism. While there has been no minimum recommended daily allowance established, surveys reveal that average daily intakes of boron range between 0.5 and 3.1 mg.

Based upon animal studies, it has been suggested that humans should ingest approximately 1 mg a day. Liquid Vitality contains 1 mg of boron per dose.

Boron was first used in the late nineteenth century as a preservative for meat, dairy and fish.

Shortly after the turn of the century, however, reports of disturbances in digetion, appetite and general health came from studies involving people who consumed more than 500 mg of boric acid per day for extended periods of time. In the 1950's, boron was no longer being used due to health concerns, but in the 1980's, scientists began to unlock the ways in which boron assisted human phisiology.

While we don't yet fully understand how boron works with the human body, studies reveal its involvement in several processes, especially macromineral metabolism.

Boron is a metabolic regulator and plays an important role in cell membrane function.

Recently, studies have suggested that boron is necessary in order for calcium to be utilizated in the body.

In other studies, supplementation with boron improved several functions including alertness, memory, mineral metabolism, and blood hemoglobin.
