Introducing Liquid Vitamins by Wellness Partners

 

In October of 2004, Wellness Partners first looked into carrying a line of liquid vitamins. Our first step was to research the quantity and quality of competing products that were already out there. It's (obviously) easier to carry a product that is already made than to create a new product. So we began to search the internet and speak to the representatives at the nutrition industry trade shows that we attend. Our research led us to discover some really interesting claims that were being made. (See "Liquid Vitamin Industry Secrets.") We found many different brands and blends available in the marketplace, but we could never find one that contained all of the ingredients - or a high enough quality of ingredients - that we considered critical to be included in a liquid daily vitamin.

 

If You Want To Do Something Right, You've Got To ...

 

So we contacted a liquid vitamin formulator and asked them to create a liquid vitamin just for us. Our months of research allowed us to assemble an impressive wish list of liquid vitamin ingredients. Many of the ingredients we asked to have included in our formulation were met with questions. "Are you sure you want to use something so expensive? ... I've never heard of that, what is it for? ... It won't look as 'pretty' if you use that kind. Are you sure you don't want to use the cheaper substitute?"

Yes, we're sure. We were not concerned with the cost of the ingredients, we were concerned with the liquid vitamin's benefits! We wanted to create the best liquid vitamin supplement available (at any cost) ... and we think we've done it.

 

Vitamins Are NOT Invisible

 

Our formulator called us when our "test batch" was created. He said that it (our recipe) was "ugly", it wasn't translucent, and, in fact, it had visible particulate matter floating around inside. He finished by telling us that he threw it all out. We told him to mix it up again and send it to us. We told him that vitamins weren't "invisible" and the same should be true for liquid vitamins. If our competitors are leaving out important ingredients so that their liquid vitamins will be see through -- let them do it!

Our Formulator Paid Us The Highest Compliment

 

We formulated Liquid Vitality Liquid Vitamins for our customers, but we knew that the owners and employees of Wellness Partners would be taking them as well. We take this business and these products quite seriously. You can imagine our delight when we spoke to our formulator a few weeks later and he told us that he had a bottle of our Liquid Vitamins at his desk and was taking them every day! You see, he has the choice of taking any formula that he mixes... but he chose ours!

 

We Went Out of Our Way ...

 

... to include the highest-quality ingredients -- regardless of their cost or the way that the finished product would look.

One example is our full-tocopherol Vitamin E. Vitamin E contains four different tocopherols. All were meant to be used together. Unfortunately, almost all of the vitamin E supplements on the market today contain only one of the four: alpha tocopherol. Studies show that the other three tocopherols are much better antioxidants than alpha tocopherol!

 

 

Why don't others use a full-tocopherol Vitamin E?

 

Two reasons:

1) It's very expensive - as much as two-hundred times as costly as plain alpha tocopherol,

2) It's not pretty - it's impossible to mix and make it look nice.

Fortunately for you, we aren't concerned with the color of our liquid vitamins... we're concerned with how they make you feel!

Another example is benfotiamine (Vitamin B1). Years ago, Japanese scientists learned how to convert the water-soluble form of B1 - thiamine - into a fat-soluble form. That may not seem like a lot, but it is huge for two reasons. First of all, the human body has two realms. Most nutrients can exist in either the fat realm or the water realm, but not in both. Secondly, the water soluble nutrients are either used immediately or they exit the body through the urine stream. Fat soluble nutrients can be stored and made available on demand.
